Prayer in Action

My church is setting aside Thursday mornings each week as a special time of prayer. We pray for the church, ministries, staff, our pastor, etc. Anywhere we are, we can pray. It is a powerful privilege that we, as Christians, have and most likely don’t take advantage of enough.

Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Heb. 4:16

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Eph. 6:18

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. Rom. 8:26

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Phil. 4:6

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. Col. 4:2

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. I Thess. 5:16–18

Let us pray for one another today, whatever day it may be that you are reading these words.

If you have a request you would like to mention, please feel free. I will pray.

Love one another.
